General Policies
The Scientific Programme Committee of the 9th APCN solicits
the submission of abstracts for oral and poster presentation.
Abstracts should describe original, unpublished work or not
be awaiting possible acceptance by any other societies and
be submitted on the enclosed form, accompanied by 3 photocopies.
Authors may submit a maximum of three (3) abstracts as principal
author. There is no limit on co-authorship. Abstracts may
be written in English only.
Notification
The presenting author of each abstract accepted for publication
will be notified in early December 2002. If the presenting
author is unable to present the abstract, another co-author
can take his place.
Publication
All accepted abstracts will be published in the abstract book
of the 9th APCN.
Payment
All presenters are required to register for the Congress and
pay the corresponding registration fee. Payment of registration
fees by 31 December 2002 is compulsory for inclusion in the
Congress Programme.
Withdrawal/Changes
Submitted Abstracts cannot be withdrawn or changed. No exceptions
will be made.

Abstract submission can only be done via Internet, via E-mail
or on a floppy disk via regular mail. Abstracts received by
fax will not be reviewed

Please submit your abstract via the Congress Website http://www.nephrothai.org.com.
The Abstract Submission Form is published on this Internet
site, as well as the instructions for preparation and submission
of abstracts. We kindly request you to read the instructions
carefully, as the abstract should be submitted exactly according
to these instructions.

Submission via E-mail
If it is not possible to submit your abstract via the Internet,
please submit your abstract via E-mail
to: apcn2003@ksc.th.com. The abstract has to be submitted
exactly according to the instructions described below and
accompanied by your complete mailing address as stated on
the Abstract Submission Form.
Abstract
Submission on a Floppy Disk via Regular Mail
You may also submit your abstracts on a floppy disk, following
exactly the instructions described below. Use a 3? -inch-IBM-formatted
diskette. The floppy disk must be sent to the Scientific Programme
Secretariat, accompanied by a completed Abstract Submission
Form (which is enclosed in this announcement). The preferred
format is Word for Windows. All floppy disks must be labeled
with the main author's name, the institution and the Word
process type. The same diskette may be used for more than
one abstract. For each abstract submitted, remember to include
three paper copies of all the abstract information requested
on page A1 and A2 of the Abstract Submission Form.
III.
Abstract Format
An Abstract Submission Form is enclosed in this packet (see
page A1- A2).
Abstract must be typed, laser-printed or copy-pasted using
a font no smaller than 10 points. Print must be sharp, clear
and regular. Dot-matrix printers should be avoided. Text must
be single-spaced and not overrun the borders of the frame.
Do not leave blank lines or indent between each paragraph.
Title
Title must be in capital letters. Do not indent and underline.
Title should be brief and indicated concisely the nature of
the presentation.
Author
Start a new line. Author and co-author names, institutions
or organizations, cities, states/province and countries follow
immediately under the title, in lower case. Initials will
precede names (i.e., Smith A.J.). Do not include degrees or
professional designations (i.e., Prof., Dr., M.D., etc.).
The name of the presenting author (It must be the same name
written in the Presenting Author Box) should appear first,
and should be underlined.
Body
of Abstract
Leave one line between the author block and the body of the
abstract. The abstract should be informative, containing the
following four parts: objectives, materials, results, and
conclusion(s).
Use standard abbreviations and generic drug names. Place unusual
abbreviations or acronyms in parentheses after first use.
Photos and other images should be used sparingly. Tables are
not to be used unless they are essential and must without
gridlines. References are similarly discouraged.
